Responsibilities

  • Paint the big picture. You will work with Bowtie executives, the Product Management team and stakeholders to define how we grow our product, and work cross-functionally to set the strategic direction.
  • Get your hands dirty. You will lead three Platform verticals as "Product Owner" managing scope and strategy, prioritizing feature releases based on impact, monitoring deliverables, defining what success looks like for the team, and using data to validate success.
  • Speak for our customers. You will deeply understand our customers, how they use our products, the problems they encounter, and improve the customer experience by taking a result-oriented approach to drive growth experiments.
  • Orchestrate the harmony. You will own the product roadmap while balancing the demands of stakeholders from engineering, design, operations, marketing, partnership, insurance product, legal & compliance, and executives.
  • Drive for operational excellence. You will improve and tweak current methodologies (i.e. Spotify Squad framework and OKR) and experiment new methodological frameworks for product management and cross-team collaborations.
  • Share your knowledge. You will mentor junior members on the team.

Requirements

  • Former founder of a team or business. You can see the big picture. You're not hesitant to wear many hats, get hands dirty and do whatever is necessary to ensure results and success.
  • Highly technical. You can quickly absorb technical concepts, and you can effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Passionate about great designs. You have an opinion on what works, what doesn't and why.
  • Impatient, but introspective and optimistic. You're not reactionary. You are disciplined in learning about what worked and what didn't. You lead discussions and drive forward with next steps. You keep looking for ways to self-learn.
  • Rigorous but respectful. You are methodological. You ask hard questions. You think radically - you question about principles, validate assumptions, and connect the dots. You're comfortable in saying no, and you don't take orders as hard yes. Yet, you're humble, and you're not a jerk.
