HONG KONG, 15 November, 2022 – The virtual insurer, Bowtie Life Insurance Company Limited (Bowtie), found a suspicious website「bowtielifeinvestment.com」, which impersonates Bowtie with unauthorized use of Bowtie’s content, attempting to illegally seize personal information or obtain financial gain by inducement to fraudulent online transactions.
Bowtie clarifies that the Company has no affiliation with the aforementioned website, and is currently not involved in any investment business. Bowtie’s official website is 「www.bowtie.com.hk」. Bowtie has reported the incident to Hong Kong Police Force and the Insurance Authority. Bowtie reserves the right to proceed legal action against any unofficial website which impersonates Bowtie with false information statements that directly affect the reputation of the Company.
Anyone who is concerned that they may have disclosed their personal information or have conducted any transactions through that website, should immediately contact the Police.
