HONG KONG, 20 May, 2020 – The virtual insurer, Bowtie Life Insurance Company Limited (Bowtie) uncovered a fraudulent website “www.yuehm.com/1gxxw3/9hypq1.html” which purports to represent Bowtie with unauthorised use of Bowtie’s website content to seize personal information.
Bowtie stresses that the company has no affiliation with this website and has reported the incident to the police and the Insurance Authority. Bowtie’s only legitimate official website address is “www.bowtie.com.hk” and the company will not request for any unnecessary information from customers. In addition, Bowtie adheres to a rigorous privacy policy, for more information, please visit www.bowtie.com.hk/en/privacy-policy.
Anyone who suspects that their personal information has been seized illegally should report the case to the police immediately.
