While medical reimbursement plans cover the cost of hospitalized medical expenses, most insurance plans have deductibles or set limits for every item, leaving some costs not fully covered and the insured stuck with paying the difference out of pocket.
To ease customers from the burden of having to pay out of pocket, Bowtie, Hong Kong’s first-ever virtual insurer, launched a unique loyalty program called BowtieCash1. This first-of-its-kind loyalty program is complementary to the VHIS plans. Its objective is to provide additional coverage and minimize medical expenses so policyholders pay as little out of pocket as possible.
Created by Bowtie, BowtieCash can be used to pay for eligible medical costs that exceed the policyholder’s insurance plan coverage2. Bowtie VHIS policyholders can earn BowtieCash in various ways. Once the requirements are fulfilled, BowtieCash will be deposited into their Bowtie accounts.
BowtieCash can be used to pay for any eligible medical costs within VHIS coverage such as hospital and surgery fees.
BowtieCash is deposited into the eligible VHIS policyholder's account 31 days after the policy effective date and can be used immediately.
BowtieCash pays for the medical expenses that exceed the VHIS plan so you pay less out of pocket.
It's easy to earn and use BowtieCash. You just need to know how to use it and you can pay less out of pocket or even nothing at all. Here are three examples that show how you can use your BowtieCash.
