Complexity of the Examination

Generally, the more complex the examination, the higher the cost. Additional procedures like polyp removal will naturally increase the price.

Hospital Factors

Factors such as the qualifications of doctors, the level of equipment advancement, and the comfort of the environment can influence the pricing of each hospital.

Which types of insurance can cover colonoscopy?

If a colonoscopy examination is conducted based on a written recommendation from a primary care doctor, the eligible outpatient consultation fees, medication costs, and examination fees are covered under Bowtie Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme. The Bowtie Voluntary Health Insurance Surgical Table categorizes the complexity of most examinations from small to complex.
  • #Bowtie Pink Voluntary Health Insurance provides full reimbursement for qualified medical expenses related to diagnosis, hospitalization, surgery, and specified non-surgical cancer treatments (excluding the United States), subject to annual and lifetime limits. Claim amounts may be adjusted for hospitals in mainland China outside the designated hospital list or high-end hospitals within the designated list, higher-level ward class, or pre-existing conditions at the time of insurance application.
